For basic suet pastry, two parts self raising flour to one part suet, salt to season and mix with cold water. As with all pastries don't over kneed. Egg wash to give a golden finish.Another first. I have never heard of or eaten suet pastry. Recipe anyone?
Well, the roses came out ok, need some practice though. The dough for the little creatures was a fail, so I ended up using premade wrappers. Fillings were pork and chives, shrimp, and ground beef and mushrooms.

Mystery solved! Its all to do with The CookingBites Cookalong: Chinese Dumplings! I like those roses. What is it makes them pink? I saw a method for 'goldfish' which I may try.
