Sicilian salad: peeled slices orange and fresh fennel seasoned with Evoo, salt and black ground pepper

We had stuffed pepper and steamed broccoli. The pepper you see on my plate is only 1/4 of what I stuffed. It was huge! The "snow" on top of the broccoli is a seasoned Romano cheese blend thingy that I got for free when I did some buying at an area (anything within 50 miles is "area" to us) spice shop. Good for free, but I would not spend what they charge for it. Also, a slice of baguette to push things up onto my fork.

Me too. Sometimes I also add some black olives or slices of red onion (Tropea red onion). It's a very fresh salad, perfect for summer.

@MypinchofItaly

Fennel is extraordinarily healthy too ..

I am a grand fan ..

I like it with citrus or fresh tomatoes, black olives and we have an onion called Calçots ( pronounced Kal Sots ) and they are a spring Green onion with long stems and dangling onion " balls " .. Possibly they are related to the Italian Onions of this genre / type ..

Have a lovely day ..

Lots of cooking today. I've had a houseful of teens.

Pancakes for brekky
Pumpkin risotto for lunch
Pasta al forno - ragu & shells topped with a 4 cheese mixture that was mainly ricotta.

Then to finally use up the last of the eggplants I made baba ganoush.

Movie & snacks later

Your pasta al forno intrigued me a lot. How did you cook it?
