Lots of cooking today. I've had a houseful of teens.

Pancakes for brekky
Pumpkin risotto for lunch
Pasta al forno - ragu & shells topped with a 4 cheese mixture that was mainly ricotta.

Then to finally use up the last of the eggplants I made baba ganoush.

Big fan of Babaghanouj .. Simply wonderful. I like to prepare the Egyptian style and / or the Greek / or the Lebanese way ..

Each varies a bit, in how much garlic, lemon Juice, tahine and garnish one employs ..

Some use fresh minced mint leaf and others fresh minced parsely ..

Have a nice weekend .. Thanks for posting ..

Saturday. Sincé I had to show a Tour Group, the Sagrada Monuments, I grabbed a quick bite at a local bar .. Just had some Calamari and a Sparkling Water with Lemon ..

Tonight we are going to have Lebanese Cuisine which I adore at the Diagonal Shopping Centre .. It has an incredible atmosphere ..

Have a lovely weekend ..

I've been on a cruise from New Orleans to various points in Mexico, and haven't had internet access. I've eaten some amazing food. You'd think this would mean that I'd have a lot of great pictures. But, there was also a lot of alcohol consumed on this vacation, so much of it is lost to history. So, I will share last night's meal: lobster and filet. Two more days in New Orleans, so I may be posting more pics. But, I also suspect there will be more alcohol, so no promises.

Fabulous! Jealous...

Well it was going to be beans and cornbread, but it will now be smoked sausage.
Someone overslept and didn't get the beans started.

Tonight was pork chops. Waterbath for 4 hours at 56.5 deg C, finished by searing in a hot skillet and a bit of help from a blowtorch. Served on mashed Cyprus new potatoes with carrots, a cider and mustard sauce, pear puree and parsnip and parmesan chips. I need to improve my presentation skills. Or my Photoshop skills.
