What did you cook/eat today (July 2017)?

Pizza for me today. Given that pepperoni is currently Bht 1,350.00/kg I'll go for bacon (Bht 260.00/kg) and mushrooms.
 
I've had a touch of the collywobbles today, so hubby suggested his old college stand-by: tuna casserole. Quick and easy, and it seems to be sitting OK in the tummy. It's simply "instant" rice, canned mixed vegetables (I also toss in some frozen kept just for this occasion), canned tuna, and a can of cream of mushroom soup. A quick, easy, no-brainer of a supper. It took more concentration to cut the tomato and not my fingers.

Today will be chicken (cooked in the slow cooker and roasted vegetables.

Now he is making us dinner. We have to eat early before football practice tonight.
I think it's something he saw Gordon Ramsay make on an internet video. Chicken sauteed in evoo, butter, and fresh herbs (basil, rosemary, thyme). Also, a spinach and baby arrugula salad with a white wine and paprika vinaigrette.

We're now teaching him how to handle the chicken safely, pound it out, do his mise en place, then how to make the pan sauce. This should be interesting.
