What did you cook/eat today (March 2017)?

I have no idea how I managed to misread that!

Anyway, beer battered cod, chips and Yorkshire dhal again this evening for me. You'd think I like it!

The pieces of cooked batter in the deepfry we call "scraps". They were free in the chippy when I was a kid.

Do you put tomato sauce on the chips?

I rummaged through the frudge this morning and found a little bit of corned beef, boiled cabbage and redskin potatoes leftover. I was surprised to deem it OK using my sniffer, so I roughly chopped and quickly fried it in butter with a pinch of smoked paprika and a pinch of turmeric. Topped with an over easy egg, it was delicious.

Redskins potato...are they a little sweet?

Eggy!:happy: We are big on eggs here - but I've never understood; what does 'easy over' actually mean? And if they aren't cooked easy over then what are they called?
