Went to the local catfish place. We had catfish, hush puppies, banana pudding. He had Cole slaw and fries. I had mashed potatoes and gravy, and vegetable medley (broccoli stems, cauliflower and carrots).
Iced tea to drink.

Mmmm, I haven't had real shepherd's pie in a long time. Cottage pie seems to be the only thing that is served here, but they still call it shepherd's.

And I haven't had good catfish in 20 years, since a trip on the Mississippi river back then.

Getting back to eggs, yes, Cin is right. Sunny side up is cooked on one side only until the white sets, yolk is very runny. You can cover the pan to help this out, or baste to get it to set more quickly.

Flip it over gently for just a second or two just before the white is entirely set, and that's over easy.

Break the yolk and flip once, and that's just referred to as a fried egg.

My wife made ground (mince) turkey tacos, side of refried beans and long grain white rice.

I only had 1 taco since I wasn't very hungry after a hearty breakfast. I'll eat later. I'm off in a few minutes to go see my friend's new (used) yacht. He was taking care of his elderly father for the past decade, and after his father passed last summer, he decided to sell the house and buy a yacht to live on. It's slipped across from NYC on the Hudson river. Great views. I can't wait to see her.

Living on a yacht! Well, good for him. It sounds like he deserves it. Take some snaps if you can, for the general chat thread.

So if they are cooked 'sunny side up' are they basted with fat to 'film over' the yolk?

That's how my old mum used to fry eggs and I emulated her for a few years. Now I prefer the bright yellow/orange yolk colour so I don't bother anymore.
