This afternoon was round 2 of DH's make-up" Easter got cancelled" Linner (late lunch/early dinner).
We took Mom to a new-ish restaurant in town and she really likes it, she's already planned what she'll order next visit

On the table was :

Mom requested one of the daily specials: Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap with Sweet Potato fries and DH the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich with French Fries.

I have been wanting to try their Coconut Shrimp that comes with 2 sides. I shared my Chicken Tortilla Soup and side Caesar salad with Mom.

And of course we had dessert!
Homemade warm Peach Cobbler ala mode and a Tuxedo Chocolate Mousse cake, YUM!

For $95.00 USD, before the tip, it had better have been good!
Have you noticed the prices to eat out are going through the roof?
DH and I were driving home and both said that we're going to limit how often we go out any more.

TastyReuben I've never had a muffuletta before, always wanted to try it... I have everything but the bread, but I could make that too, MMM!
It might be my favorite sandwich! This one, I’d just call it a picnic sandwich or whatever, but it’s definitely in the muffie neighborhood.

That, or the BLTs we had tonight. No pics as I’m exhausted from working a lot last night and this morning.

I also found some mushrooms in the back of the fridge, so I quickly sliced those and fried them off in the bacon fat, a little butter, and red wine to finish. Those were for MrsT.

I love muffaletta sandwiches! Great New Orleans hangover food, lol!

You will love it, or hate it. I'm not a big fan, myself. But, it is certainly worth trying.

I’m crazy about olives, so I love it. My dad’s the same way. It was the only “exotic” food we ever had in the house, and we were the only two who’d eat them. Even my mom, who eats nearly anything, wouldn’t touch them.

I was making that sandwich, I dumped a big spoonful of tapenade on the bread, then a big spoonful in my mouth. One for the bread, one for me, over and over. I’d made a decent amount…it’s all gone.

Smoked salmon and honey and lime glazed prawn salad

That was delicious albeit very "rich". I ate it in two "sittings" with a couple of hours and a few beers in between. An alternative in future may be to consider it two meals and add a few slices of bread and butter for sandwiches?
