Well, she bought if for herself I think..
Yeah, I thought about getting my husband a smoker for his birthday (about week ago), and realized that I would have to learn how to use it. I am busy enough already! I settled for getting him some new cushions for his outdoor chair swing because he sits outside so much, that and I bought him takeout sushi for dinner that night. I pretty much want the same for my birthday next week, sushi takeout. I can't think of anything else I want or need that I won't just buy for myself when the time comes.

But now I want a pizza oven!

So about a year ago I had bought a gift certificate for this place called O'Charley's about 15 miles from my house. They offered family meals that were huge for $29.99. I had paid $35 for a $50 certificate (online special). Last year I used it once to get a family sized meal that consisted of 25 chicken tenders, two sides (enough for 6 people), 6 rolls, and butter. It was enough food to feed us for several days. I repurposed chicken tenders into sandwiches, buffalo tenders, salads, and chicken parmigiana.

I had $20 left on the certificate, so since I was not far away from there this afternoon, I went onto their website (on my phone) to double check before ordering and saw that the family meals had gone up to $39.99! No longer a value, to me, so I just ordered something in the $20 range (a rib/chicken combo with two sides) for hubby and I to split for dinner tonight. What a bummer.

It might be my favorite sandwich! This one, I’d just call it a picnic sandwich or whatever, but it’s definitely in the muffie neighborhood.

That, or the BLTs we had tonight. No pics as I’m exhausted from working a lot last night and this morning.

I also found some mushrooms in the back of the fridge, so I quickly sliced those and fried them off in the bacon fat, a little butter, and red wine to finish. Those were for MrsT.
You just reminded me we have shrooms in the fridge too. Hmm later lunch?

She's right.

If I have extra money I have no problem spending it on something, though most of it ends up getting invested in the stock market. But my main problem is when I am looking for gifts for other people, I find stuff I want. Not need, but want. And yeah, I will buy them something nice, and something nice for me as well, LOL!

And I too am turning the big 60. Mr. OH just turned 54.

Basic Sunday Pasta meal here, no snaps.
I made Thick Spaghetti and Meatballs, the difference tonight was I tore some fresh Oregano over the top, A-MAZ-ING!
Why have I not been doing this for the 30+ years we've been married?

Oh fresh herbs are the bomb! I use my kitchen shears and cut them up over the top. Tearing I am sure works quite well.
