I am not exactly the most romantic person, neither is hubby, but we were 23 years ago when we met. But about 10 years into it, he asked me what I wanted for Christmas one year, and I told him a new vacuum cleaner. I am a rather practical person most of the time. I don't mind cut flowers occasionally, but I would prefer a plant or chocolates. Well I do like jewelry, I have a lot of nice stuff that I rarely wear these days because we never go anywhere anymore and I am not wearing it to work, that's for sure!I second this!
My husband is perfect in almost any way, but like a typical Dutch man romance isn't his strongest point.
I once dated an American for about three years, and they're quite different when it comes to charm and romance . Yet the Dutch might lack romance, but are very reliable. In the end, I prefer stability.
Of course, this doesn't go for everyone. But some cultural stereotypes aren't entirely wrong.
Okay, taking the thread off topic:She plans trips away and buys chocolates for us both, I make romantic meals and don’t wear any undies, sexy or otherwise.

But I saw a picture of you in your undies! When you were strolling around in the front yard in a shirt and undies, remember? I think you posted it a couple of years ago.
Plans for today
I can only assume he has undies on with his shirt hanging very low, LOL.

I whizzed up the tapenade myself this morning, baked the focaccia yesterday, and there are two kinds of salami, ham, pepperoni, sun-dried tomatoes, banana peppers, two kinds of cheese, and basil on there. Now it’s just got to sit overnight and get all oily.
The cookbook? It’s funny you mention that (if that’s indeed what you mean), because when I put that in there, I said, “Self, flip that over, why dontcha?” - but I didn’t.It's upside down!

Yep, the cookbook. MG will be pulling her hair out and rolling her eyes in dismay. No attention to detail is the school report! The cookbook? It’s funny you mention that (if that’s indeed what you mean), because when I put that in there, I said, “Self, flip that over, why dontcha?” - but I didn’t.
10 minutes later, I went back and flipped it over.
I thought he was just trying to make us read upside down to make it interesting! It's upside down!
I didn't even notice, looks good to me! I'm on my phone.I've finally cracked the fromage frais replacement in our New England Chowder.
I'll say nothing about the presentation on a dirty cushion It the fact that I didn't even get the bowl central in the picture (lol).
