I second this!

My husband is perfect in almost any way, but like a typical Dutch man romance isn't his strongest point.

I once dated an American for about three years, and they're quite different when it comes to charm and romance . Yet the Dutch might lack romance, but are very reliable. In the end, I prefer stability.

Of course, this doesn't go for everyone. But some cultural stereotypes aren't entirely wrong.
I am not exactly the most romantic person, neither is hubby, but we were 23 years ago when we met. But about 10 years into it, he asked me what I wanted for Christmas one year, and I told him a new vacuum cleaner. I am a rather practical person most of the time. I don't mind cut flowers occasionally, but I would prefer a plant or chocolates. Well I do like jewelry, I have a lot of nice stuff that I rarely wear these days because we never go anywhere anymore and I am not wearing it to work, that's for sure!

She plans trips away and buys chocolates for us both, I make romantic meals and don’t wear any undies, sexy or otherwise.
Okay, taking the thread off topic:

But I saw a picture of you in your undies! When you were strolling around in the front yard in a shirt and undies, remember? I think you posted it a couple of years ago.

Plans for today

I can only assume he has undies on with his shirt hanging very low, LOL.

That was on a dare from me I think...

My nephew's fiancée brought me a piece of special carrot cake, the very expensive kind, lol. I ate some last night and slept like a baby. I just finished it off, let's see how motivated I am for the rest of the evening, lol.

I don't like carrot cake in general, but I like her magic carrot cake!

My ex had a crystal vase that was heavy, and pretty. I took it to Patty Ann's Flowers ever few weeks and had Patty Ann do a custom arrangements with whatever was fresh. My ex liked tulips, so Patty Ann usually had some around for me.

The cookbook? It’s funny you mention that (if that’s indeed what you mean), because when I put that in there, I said, “Self, flip that over, why dontcha?” - but I didn’t.

10 minutes later, I went back and flipped it over.
Yep, the cookbook. MG will be pulling her hair out and rolling her eyes in dismay. No attention to detail is the school report!

I've finally cracked the fromage frais replacement in our New England Chowder.

I'll say nothing about the presentation on a dirty cushion It the fact that I didn't even get the bowl central in the picture (lol).

I noticed this post from TastyReuben while I had these cooking in a crockpot. Collectively, you can refer to us as TastyRibs.

I prepared mine similarly to his, in a crockpot. Then, I transferred them to a baking sheet. I decided to cut them at the individual pieces this time, rather than leave them 2-bone pieces. that’s the last time I do that, because some of them kept falling over when I put them on the sheet:

Then, I brushed them with barbecue sauce

After a few minutes under the broiler, I had a nicely glazed surface on the ribs:

I would show you what remained after dinner, but there’s no point in taking a picture of an empty pan.
