Guess CD and Craig were thinking along the same lines.

Queso fundido with fresh chorizo, poblanos, tomatos, onion and garlic, plus a little cumin, along with homemade guacamole and freshly fried tortilla chips.

No dinner. I don’t feel like doing anything. The day is ruined and probably tomorrow also. And I didn’t get to see daughter today. Hopefully she’ll come tomorrow to open gifts and then go home afterwards.
How are things at your daughter’s? Can you possibly move things over there?

Msmofit lost power, and water due to the big winter storm.

I would suggest doing what my family is doing, and move Christmas back a week to the New Years weekend.

Yeah, New Years is when we're doing the real celebration. I encourage this. :D

Sorry to hear this, hope you get through the next few days OK. As said above, don't dwell on what is lost, look forward to celebrating when normality returns

My Christmas Dinner (my wife had noodles because that's what she wanted).

Seasoned pan fried beef steak (60 seconds each side) plus 60 seconds each side blowlamp, sliced with roast potatoes and green pepper and mushroom cream sauce. Accompanied by a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon

It was my first beef steak meal for some time, maybe 9 months, and I really enjoyed it.
