No pics, because I sucked it in like a vacuum cleaner, but I had what’s a sort of forgotten SW Ohio specialty - a steak sandwich.

Now, if you think that’s steak put on a roll, you’d be wrong. It’s a preformed, pan-fried-from-frozen, oblong seasoned steak patty, akin to a salisbury steak patty.

It’s always offered two ways: with mushroom gravy and cheese, or with pizza sauce, banana peppers, and cheese. That’s how I had mine.

MrsT had a reuben, and she likes these reubens because they’re thin on the meat and heavy on the kraut, which cuts down on her points a bit.

My one Neighborhood Gal Pals Mom is in town to visit and see if she may want to move here.
Her Mom really wanted to see what my Mother's digs are like (Senior Living Community) so Mom and I gave them the Grand Tour and treated them to lunch in one of the dining rooms.
On the table were:

2 orders of 1/2 Reuben Sandwich with a choice of side
(the two Mom's had these)
(oh, I forgot to get snaps but the sides on our table were, 2 Chicken Noodle Soups and 1 Ginger Carrot soup.)

A GINORNOUS Turkey Club Sandwich with a side for my Gal Pal

and for Moi, a Chicken Cob Salad (a touch over cooked Chicken, but I was okay with that, this at some fancy pants resort we're talkin' about here)

I was the only brave one to order the included dessert.
I went with the Key Lime Tart, very yummy.
I shared a small bite with everyone at our table.
That was a very nice day and Mom was so thrilled to show off her place.

I am in the process of making a lamb and fresh herb sausage for the challenge. Here's my taster--it smelled so good while it was cooking! My hands were a bit shaky, sorry about the blurry shot, LOL. It's yummy!

The meat mixture is chilling down before I form it into "sausages". They will be shaped like sausage but without the casings, as I do not like casings.

I had Thai chili peppers growing in my garden. I harvested the last of the peppers in October and put them in my refrigerator. I just found them yesterday, and it seems that there has been some ripening going on. I was surprised they were in good condition at all. This is a testament to the durability of a spicy pepper, as well as to the quality of my refrigerator.

Okay, got the lamb sausages rolled. Now they have to set up in the refrigerator for 24 hours before I try cooking them.
