Playing catchup...

It's anyone's guess as to when I actually ate these last week. (It was definitely one of those weeks.) They are far more just avocado and coconut or pea and courgette soups. There's loads of herbs and spices and flavour in both. Each is slightly different from the last. The raw pea and courgette soup was thinned down with cucumber on the second day which made for a great addition to the soup. The avocado and coconut is packed with flavour from the herbs and spices used and whilst it looks thick and almost solid, it's more like a light and airy mousse packed with flavour and delivering a good punch from 4 raw green chillies, raw garlic and raw ginger.

Odd that, isn´t it? I find them tasteless in an air fryer. Maybe I was just brought up with loads of fat!
I toss mine in seasonings and oil before putting them in the air fryer. Yeah, it does a few extra calories, but so much less grease than if deep frying and they taste much better.

What is Tuesday? Fat? What are you trying to say lololol. I actually have no idea when Fat Tuesday is since I am not Catholic.

Edit: I just looked it up. Apparently in the UK it is pancake day. And Fat Tuesday here. Had no idea. I just made them because I have a few packages of blueberries in the frig that need to be consumed and I am almost out of yogurt.

I would be a really bad Catholic if I were, because I am not about to give up anything for Lent. I have friends who are Catholic who eat seafood on Fridays during Lent, and I always mock them because they are eating lobster, scallops, etc. Doesn't seem like much of a hardship to choose that over steak.
Actually in eastern Iowa and quite a bit of Wisconsin fish fries on Fridays isss year round thing.

In the Church of England boarding school I used to work in, Fridays was always fish & chips day. It was the only day of the week that they served chips (after the everyday of the week and weekend policy was overturned).

I was just watching former royal chef Darren McGrady make fish & chips and he said…yep, every Friday, the royal family and the staff had fish & chips (though QE2’s was different than everyone else’s).

I am in the process of making a lamb and fresh herb sausage for the challenge. Here's my taster--it smelled so good while it was cooking! My hands were a bit shaky, sorry about the blurry shot, LOL. It's yummy!

The meat mixture is chilling down before I form it into "sausages". They will be shaped like sausage but without the casings, as I do not like casings.

Great to see you " hands on" cooking

Here too in Ohio. I'm from Florida originally, can't make sense out of these Midwesterners! Lots of them that do fish Friday aren't even Catholic!

Our local chippy in Leeds was always extremely busy on Fridays. In the school holidays one of my jobs was to collect orders from our local Jewish tailors and pick them up from the chippy. Usually 10 to 15 portions.

We always had fish n chips on a Friday as kids.
Last night was at daughter , she did bbq. New joint hasn't got ac. It was 35 deg c there.
I've just had a sammy.
Deli beef tomato relish and smoked cheese . Better than it looks.
