What did you cook or eat today (February 2025)

This seed site has a video showing how to make one. I, of course, use a spiralizer, like any sane person would do.

German Bier Garten Radish

Daikon is an acceptable substitute, which is what I used. Available at every Germanfest around Cincy, and on some year-round menus as an appetizer as well.
Love it. How did such feminine wrists end up with such a Barry White voice? 😂

Aww thank you for the article, very interesting! I wonder if I can find butter cheese here in Ireland - but I think so.
It’s my favorite cheese. It’s a little softer than Havarti, and what I like is that I can just set it out a room temperature, under the oven hood light, and just the heat of the light bulb from a couple of feet above it will almost, but not quite, melt it after 20 minutes or so, then I spread it on bread or crackers or use it like an easy raclette cheese, with some pickles and potatoes.

Now I am even more curious about butter cheese! 😃

I asked my OH where the basil was, and he handed me the pot, soil and all!

Eggy bread and ratatouille

Wings 👏 👏 👏
Except these are the Charlie Bigham Tandoori wings. Which I have to say at £5 for 6 wings I expected more from.
They are bottom of the list on flavour and value for money. They tasted ok but needed rescuing from their dullness with some smoked chilli syrup. If you’re UK based I’d avoid spending a tenner on a dozen wings.

Canned cheese!

Well you have to admit, it's not exactly "canned" cheese. It's grated cheese with anti-caulking agents in a shaker container. Which doesn't really sound much better, does it?

I've got the one I could grate but I'm tired of washing stuff.
I have one of those handheld spinning graters like they have at Olive Garden (Italian restaurant for those not in USA). I keep it in the refrigerator in an extra large ziplock bag so I don't have to wash it every time I use it.

I keep a shaker of grated parmesan because my DH actually prefers it on a lot of things over the fresh--that's what he was used to using growing up.
