Well the waffle maker had it's first outing with hash brown waffles with a cheese and ham centre and they were lovely.

No pic as I thought I'd take a snap of the second go at them and POP!!! the waffle maker stopped working.

So here's pics of the second round done in a frying pan - potato, cheese and ham patties n poached egg 😂

Thank you!

Are you cooking much in Cork?

Not as much as I would, the new job keeps me very busy and when I come home in the evenings or am off work, I cook something quick and easy or eat out.

But soon I will be cooking again because I miss me being at the cooker!

Is the waffle maker kaput?

I've had this recipe for Clam Chowder waiting for me to make, and today was the day.

THAT WAS DELICIOUS!!!

I had a small tasting bowl with the chopped up Bacon on top - meh - I think that the Bacon over powers the delicate flavor of the Clams.
:meh:
What did she just say?
That's right, I said it! No Bacon in the Chowder - I'll the rest for an omelette tomorrow.

But a little bit of chopped parsley or chives on top would be nice, right? Looks great! I have 2 cans of chopped clams in my pantry I have been thinking about using, but I was thinking clams in white wine sauce over linguine (old Italian American style). The cans are big, maybe I can do one can for each recipe.
