I agree. I prefer them to chips (fries). And its easy to season them with different spices whilst frying.Pan fried/ sauteed potatoes remain my favorite, I just rarely make em these days. But today I did in duck fat, too.

Duck fat adds a layer of luxury, and itās so easy. I have a jar in my fridge thatās been neglected for too long.Pan fried/ sauteed potatoes remain my favorite, I just rarely make em these days. But today I did in duck fat, too.

Panamanian cuisine has two classic fish "soups" - Guacho de Mariscos and Sancocho de Mariscos. A guacho is like a hearty stew made with "mariscos" (seafood) and rice. A sancocho is a thinner, soupy dish where all the ingredients are cooked in seasoned water. Typically, a sancocho would have loads of veg in it (potatoes, sweet potatoes, yam, taro root, corn, carrot, onion, culantro and the seafood). Sancocho is popular all across Northern S America and is often made with fish - chopped up and added to the soup, heads and all!I really want to figure out how to recreate these. Any guesses on what these dishes might be called?
I love bacon and corn kernel pancakes/waffles.Went out with a friend who has a very traditional palate, so to an non adventurous Dutch restaurant.
My husband had a freshwater prawn sandwich, I had fried prawn croquettes. No pic of mine because it was very plain. We had fries on the side.
