It was like this except I'm sure that the egg wasn't poached separately, I had to crack the eggs into the pan.
Either that or my brain had an away day.

Yeah, but there were no green hairs on it, and it didn't harm me. I'm a bit naughty like that, if it looks ok to me then I'll use it. Never had an upset tummy from my cooking.
Most of these use by dates are a load of old cobblers. I do obviously use common sense and I won't use anything I think might be dodgy.
Having said that seven months out of date is possibly pushing it a bit, I might ditch it if I don't use it in the next month or two.

I have stuff that's two years "out of date". If it's sealed and looks and smells OK, I don't usually bother.

I made a full recipe of pasta dough, we rolled it out into sheets, then cut and used up the thawed frozen mix of ricotta, moz, parm, etc. cheese filling taking up room in the freezer to make manicotti. Craig made the sauce. Simple garden salad on the side. We were supposed to make garlic rolls too, but forgot thank goodness since I was stuffed with what we had. Now, we have 2 meals of manicotti in the freezer. Sigh, I'm not sure if we are making progress in cleaning out the freezers or not, but at least these are ready to pop into the oven meals.
