Muffaletta. I found a recipe that is similar to the bread the Central Grocery uses.

Mg,my granddaughter absolutely loves mushrooms on toast as I do as well. My dil cooks them for her but since she's had mine she says mine is the best ever, the only thing I do different from her mum is I cook with just butter until half cooked, then turn off. Let it sit for 15 mins to relax the shrooms, then reheat and add cream. S and p then enjoy. Best I've ever had. Discovered by accident when I had a visitor years ago.

Earlier I made mushrooms on toast for brunch. Mushrooms sautéed in butter and garlic, a little cornflour, milk and white wine to make sauce. Parsley over the top.

There was more cooking on Tuesday. I had a hankering for a slow roasted shoulder of lamb. I read a few cookbooks by favoured chefs then did my own thing once I settled on middle eastern flavours.
I used loads of garlic, sumac, cumin & pomegranate molasses. Touches of smoked paprika. View attachment 16766

Served with warm houmous & I skimmed the fat from the onion & herb pan juices and reduced it to a rich jus.
That sounds amazing!

Friday and snooker day today so a little fishcaked when I arrived home. Same carry out - Hainanese chicken with extra chilli sauce. Looks the same as last week so no need to post a different image.
