Cheese fest continues:

Colston Bassett Dairy Rutland Red with a Smokehouse small batch pork pie and red onion marmalade. Mild with a firm texture, in a completely different class to the supermarket Red Leicesters.

Cheese fest:

Smoked goat and beetroot salad with a reduced balsamic dressing. A mild smoke on the cheese and no chalkiness in the texture, very pleasing.

Starting with a salad:

Homemade tomato vinaigrette for the dressing.

Followed salad with pizza:

That’s ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan on a homemade crust, with roasted red grapes. The grapes were roasted with fresh rosemary, olive oil, and salt and pepper.

After a ring round I found a smoked chicken. Family day tomato is bought forward a day as daughter her partner and son off to the uk tomorrow. Away 6 weeks in Spain and France
We will miss them.
I will make pasta chicken sauce. Sauce made months ago from our tomatos

Not the best picture but very tasty. Also had a vegan raspberry croissant and a vegan raspberry/strawberry smoothie.

I made my version of Chicken Marsala

I diced the boneless/skinless Chicken thighs into bite sized pieces rather than cooking a whole piece.
It just makes the dining experience easier.

All that talk of avocado 🥑 had me craving an old favourite of avo, crispy bacon and Jarlsberg cheese as a melt on toast.

I used Turkish bread as focaccia is out of style now.

Cheese fest.

I got some proper anchovies.

It did mean cleaning and boning them myself.

However, they tasted fantastic with a Caesar salad.
