My take on @MypinchofItaly’s Butter Recipe Challenge winning dish, baked rice and cabbage. I used red cabbage instead of savoy cabbage. Here's the link to the recipe:

Had dinner takeaway, green pasta with salmon pieces and cream sauce, cabbage salad side, it was very good.

Lunch was (bakery ) pancakes filled with cheese, which were surprisingly tasty, topped with egg and baked...cheese was ever so slightly sweet and some lemon zest...

not much cooked except poached eggs for breakfast.

I had no idea what this was until I saw the explanation. Sadly, the closest restaurant is in New York, over 600 miles away. I will need to live vicariously through your presentations until I am in that area. :hungry:
They're a half decent noodle chain, your local independent restaurants will be better, but Wagamamas is consistent wherever you go, so they are a good standby when you are somewhere new.

The calzone was good, but I was still hungry and I also had one last thing in the fridge, two chicken tamales.

The fridge is now empty and defrosting.

There’s nothing that says Authentic Mexican Food quite like a tamale wrapped in a corn husk.

Some of the best tamales I ever had were from a beach vendor in Cancun. This lady had a big bus pan on her shoulders full of delicious tamales. They had beach vendors selling all kinds of wonderful things, handbags, beach blankets, silver bracelets, money clips, etc. And some of the vendors had mood enhancers that were appetite inhibitors, and some of the wares might give someone the munchies. I stayed away from those kinds of things, not safe to purchase from people I don't know and in another country
