Last meal for March

Orange miso glazed tofu with colcannon.

Looks like a piece of pork belly, or maybe I’ve just got pork belly on the brain 😂
It went in the oven, on its side with all of the slices sticking up and the glaze covering them entirely. My OH pulled them out too soon so they had only simmered off about half way down. I was still writing a report for an assignment (I've go off academic reports for a particular lecturer), so didn't see until he was serving.

I like the look of it. Hopefully it didn’t effect the flavour.
 
Don't forget the cheese and sausage!!!
Cheese (and milk, 1/2 n 1/2, or cream) absolutely. I rarely use sausage with them, though. I use that for biscuits and gravy. Usually bacon on the side and eggs atop the grits.

I was supposed to make shrimp and grits last night but with this damned cold I wanted to be able to taste my food and knew that wasn't going to happen, so we ha my homemade chicken soup again.
