You are close to producing the craft and art that the Japanese would put in to these treats. I think your version could be finessed at bit. You don't want the Japanese to shake their heads thinking that they look like meat balls.
They look tasty.
Personally, would not change anything...but open to suggestions.
They aaaaaare tasty. So tasty. If one likes such treats of course.
Oh you made me laugh...I will avoid the Mochi title as I have the greatest respect for the original mastery of Mochi and the Japanese Culture and History...
I will never be even close to the art and craft.
But am allowed to try and enjoy the tasty byproducts.
