" It´s about time we thought of something for dinner..."
And then a chorus of
"Nooooo!! I´m not cooking!!"

That one was $2.50. They are forecast to be around the $4-5 by Christmas. That's too dear for us.

I've got the shopping rigged to save $100 a month using 2 × 10% discounts. Then annual points are collected for Christmas which this year is around $500. Next year should be more because I've signed up to a get more deal by spending $59 now. (3× points on anything not already on extra points for buying it)... so annually by spending $59 and getting our car insurance from the supermarket, I can save $1,200 plus an extra $500‐750 at Christmas (you can opt to use this during the year in $10 increments or save for Christmas). But i still won't pay $4 or $5 for an avocado even at Christmas or for a big birthday coming up over Christmas week.

At least the cauliflowers were a sensible price and size this week.

Not a very colorful plate because I forgot to buy green veg, but it was tasty. It's chicken with satay sauce, carrots and rice.

I'm happy that I am able to cook reasonable meals again!

Gluten free pasta, with homemade tomato sauce (onion, garlic). So simple and so delicious. The flowery serviettes are beautiful, were discounted, so I snatched those.

I felt the pancakes were such a treat, homem ade, with corn flour and coconut/rice milk, a tiny bit of apricot jelly.

One of those late home arrivals, when I was happy to drag myself to the shop hot counter and have some meat patties. Those were actually pretty good. And a quick salad. Happy.
