What did you cook or eat today (October 2022)?

That (meaning the previously mentioned burger and fries) and their smallest drink were a total of just under $20.

Quite a lot as the burger, fries, and drink were the smallest ones on the menu.
That was how I had first read it. I'd have to be dying of thirst to pay $20 for a single small drink. I'm pretty reluctant to pay half that on a drink to be honest!

Sorry, my misreading. $20 is nevertheless a lot to pay for burger and chips.

Talking of burgers I bought some 'old school' frozen Bird's Eye burgers the other day. It was the only sort I had as a young kid. Surprisingly I rather liked them. They are super skinny in calories so even two burgers (minus buns) only clocks up 220 calories.

Simple ingredients with no nasty additives. I think they are aimed at little kids because they are very small. But I liked that - 2 with a big salad was a good meal for me (no buns). A couple of quid (£2) for 4.

Well dang it all!! Now I want a burger, fries and a beer!
The Five Guys is right across the parking lot from Sur La Table, where I dropped off my knives.

After seeing my photo, MrsT said she’s coming with me when I go to pick them up in a couple of days, because she wants a burger!

I went to Five Guys once. Apart from being excessively expensive for a sodding burger (I think it was about £13), the damned bun virtually dissolved with all the stuff they put on it and I ended up having to ditch it. Plus they claimed that their chips were "hand cut on the premises", and right in front of me were about 10 huge sacks ,sealed and labelled, filled with frozen chips...

I have Burgers on the rotation for the week ... I just bought another bag of our favorite frozen French Fries/Chips and I make them in the Air Fryer.
That's what I was going to say too TastyReuben , why'd ya throw out the extra Fries? They're a perfect candidate for re-heating in the AF!!!

I made Shepherds Pie tonight. I added herbs to my ground beef and it really made the meal much more flavorful. I’m sure
