I had to laugh, because we’ve been sharing little bites of things (honest to god, you can eat 24/7 here, and we’re trying to divide things up), and out of all of those, she picked the one thing I didn’t want at all - a little cherry-filled pie crust cup.

Pizza, fries, and beer (not pictured):

Pizza’s pretty good (this is from their slice shop, not their sit-down pizzeria).

We love the fries, made while you wait, though that cheese sauce was nothing special.

Beer was Peroni.

Stopped for lunch at a motorway service station on the M40. It had a Pizza Express so it made sense to have pizza from their vegan range.

Hubby had their vegan Padana and I had their Vegan Funghi di Bosco pizza.

I had the caprese pizza. It was delicious but the amount of pesto was excessive, making it very heavy. I didn't finish it.

My husband had a pizza with nduja, burrata, pickled onion and spicy pepper sauce.

The food was good overall.

Your husband's pizza looks very interesting. We have a package of nduja in the refrigerator now. Was the onion a heavy or light vinegar pickle and can he describe the spicy pepper sauce a little more please?

I’m not posting pics tonight, because the food was really…unappealing to look at, for the most part, and the lighting was so poor, it didn’t help (the pics, that is, but the mood was fine).

Anyway, I had French onion soup to start, and MrsT had a mini tart filled with baba ganoush and topped with sautéed mushrooms. She said hers was “phenomenal.”

For our mains, I had beef burgundy over mashed potatoes, and she had pork schnitzel with a cranberry sauce of sorts, with mixed vegetables and fried potatoes.

Desserts, she had Black Forest cake and I had warm berry crumble with vanilla gelato.

It was all excellent, especially her pork. Simply wonderful.

Made some yeast pockets for the team. It was the obnoxious stuffing with kinda like everything. Feta, old beef Tartar, herbed ham, sweet potato, split peas, canned ginger, salt, pepper, chili.

Mince and cheese for her bestie
Can of fanta and 4 carrot cakes to share with her posse.

Chicken smothered in onion gravy, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Craig is killing it with heavy seconds. I ate my broccoli and about 2/3 of the rest, and I'm stuffed.

I’m making an Asian chicken dish. Butter, honey, Sambel olek, rice wine vinegar, Thai chili paste, minced garlic and brown sugar. It’s in the oven now. Oddly we are having baked potatoes to go with. That is what I have. Seriously need to go to the grocery store. .
