What did you cook or eat today (October 2023)?

I made some meat sauce and served it over mini wagon wheels topped with parmigiano reggiano & pecorino romano cheeses. I had half for lunch, and the other half fried for dinner.

Ok, that last one isn’t desserts, but I’m leaving it there…whoops!

While the hot dogs and pizza slice were very good, we didn’t care for the burger - pre-formed, pre-seasoned patty. It’s the “fast food” place, though, so I’m not surprised. The sit-down place does fresh ones. Newcastle to drink, and the chicken strips were fine.

This place is at one of the pools - after watching the clientele, I’m dubbing it The Village of Wrinkly Bottom.

Lunch out with my sister

I had the garlic foccacia and my sister had the fried cheese balls.

Then I had a Portobello Mushroom Kiev filled with cashew cream and served with sweet potato mash and red wine gravy and my sister had a house salad with hallumi

We’re on the Enchanted Princess, one of their Medallion-class ships.

And we also had our evening meal out as well! That was a family event.

I didn’t get chance to photograph hubby’s main meal because I was struggling on my iPod touch having left my phone at my sister’s house!

So all vegan.

I had the lentil sausage roll with a homemade chutney.

My OH had the Pearl barley risotto which was probably the best dish to be honest.

And I had the Goan Aubergine Curry with coconut rice which was ok. Hubby had a vegan shepherd’s pie which he said was ok as well.

My sister had the fried halloumi for a starter.
