What did you cook today (April 2021)?

Wicca is a new word to me, briefly can you explain, I lost a lot of that convo?

Catholics are newish to me, we had a catholic school near me growing up. We never mixed, don't know why?? Then our son started to go out with a catholic girl. They married and she is a top lady and great mum. You wouldn't know but she still does the lent and not eating certain days etc, but it doesn't impact on us. She swears as much as the next person.
Her parents are another thing, going through a nasty divorce after 60 years, her mum is brutal to her ex, not a catholic type of thing to do. She's a hypocrite, smokes and gambles. Their lawyers fees are over 100k each. How's that for godly???

Yes, Wicca is new to me too. I will have to Google.
Yeah, I am all about personal integrity and honesty. If someone goes to Church but does nasty things, no good.
I'd rather have them not go to church and be nice.

Yes, we've been twice and will go back a third time given half a chance.

We were going to have nachos tonight, but those are getting moved to tomorrow. We did have popcorn during our movie tonight.
Popcorn is nice. Found half a pack of corn for popcorn. Does it expire?

How is MrsT?

Last night's dinner was BEEF! Well, and quinoa. USDA Choice filet mignon sous vide, then seared in a cast iron pan with olive oil and butter. Medium rare, of course. The quinoa was mixed with butter and garlic. It was all topped with a peppercorn cognac sauce.

My dog got some quinoa -- I ate all the steak.

Don't make her do the extra work, please. We all know she has a thankless job here and does this for free, so why bother her? Just post a photo of some food with a brief description and be done with it!
You are right! I thought about moving the witchcraft posts but they are interwoven with food posts and it would take too long to disentangle as I'd have to copy some over and move others and then edit the duplicates.

Not worth the effort. If anyone wants a thread about mysticism, witchcraft, paganism etc please feel free to start a new one.

That looks superb.

That looks superb.

Thanks. The most important rule to cooking, IMO, is find good ingredients, and then don't get in the way. I had a hard time finding a filet mignon cut of tenderloin in the "good stores," but I went to Walmart to get some cleaning supplies, and passed through the meat department just for grins, and behold, there it was -- a beautiful piece of USDA Choice filet mignon. At first, I wondered, "What are you doing in Walmart?" Then, I came to my senses and grabbed it.
