Me too but thats mostly because I’m peering at the packaging wondering if it really contains what I want or if I’m about to buy a bag of something I’ll never eat 😂

I am constantly looking in my phone at the big one, it's as big as 1 of our large regular grocery stores, because they have such a huge selection, and you are very lucky to find an English speaker.

Oh, I forgot, a new one opened up about 10 minutes away and it's big, plus they actually have people who speak English. That's the one that had a whole row of nothing but floor and wall freezers of dumplings in all shapes and sizes. It's also the place where I got the shirataki noodles to make nikujaga.

I use google translate and find that excellent but for some reason have never tried it in an Asian food shop.. doh lol.

Pics were poor because, except for a couple of places, the only lighting was by candle.
 
Today, I enjoyed a tasty Sauerbraten plate, a famous German dish I won’t forget. The beef was tender and marinated slowly, giving it a nice mix of sweet and tangy flavors from the flavorful vinegar-based gravy. It was served with soft potato dumplings (Kartoffelklöße) and red cabbage (Rotkohl), a great combination of textures and tastes. The rich gravy went perfectly with the slightly sweet red cabbage. This dish shows the heart of German cooking, and you could tell a lot of care went into making it. It was a comforting and filling meal that I would recommend!
