What do you use to sharpen your knives?

What are you talking about? Review the person's OP. You and they are not making any sense.
I was filling in the missing information for you, that you had failed to pick up on. There is no need to be rude.

You wanted to know what was disposable. It was just not stated clearly enough for you to pick up on, so I filled it in for you.

Please read it again and if you can't reply politely please don't reply.

They're razor sharp. I used to sharpen razor blades those too but (the) disposable (razor blades) got cheaper...

I've come across this late, but it's something I'm interested in so I thought I'd make my first post to this forum. Lately, I've been auditioning different sharpening systems, looking for the right one to keep my blades sharp, and so far my choice is the Gatco Edgemate guided knife sharpener. It's similar to the Lansky, but it's a bit beefier and I like the stones better. My knives are a 6 inch carbon steel Thiers-Issard sabsatier, 8 inch stainless steel Thiers-Issard sabatier, and a Rada Cook's knife. I used to hone them on a ceramic honing rod, but lately I've switched to a Warthog A4 with ceramic hones, and that seems to work better. I also strop my knives on a Hutsul leather strop with the typical "green bar" but that's going to change in the near future when I get a new strop and treat it with diamond spray. I'm still learning....

My main knife for trimming and sinew is s heavy one bought from harrods for $60 about 27 years ago. I have about 5 other handy knives I use every day.
My steel is from a big abbatoir '/ freezing works. If you know the ring people they are free. The steel part is about 12 inch long x 1/2 thick. I sharpen all my own and my d.i.l as well.
