the top skin definitely has the veins of the almond but you are onto something - it wasn't the recipe as much as the picture that went with Tasty's recipeI'll bet Backbay wouldn't have got that if you hadn't posted the recipe. Well I wouldn't have!

That looks very clever. It looks like a small cooking range - is it in a small room? I would guess the front flap pulls down to create a hot plate, and a fire would be lit underneath where the wine bottle is. I would expect there to be some sort of fire guard to hold back the hot coals though, so maybe I am complete off track.Has anyone any idea what this is?
