I concur mate. The color of the enameling is typical of a 1950s Rayburn. The nob bottom right would appear to be the fires damper flu control

I am probably wrong, but it looks like a dumbwaiter. It looks similar to something I've seen from my addiction to Agatha Christie made-for-tv movies.
