What is it?

Thanks! Mine was a papaya for sure. I used to eat them when on vacation in Mexico on my French toast or pancakes. Yummy. I had one last week that was bought about a week before that. I cut it up and put it on my pancakes. Yum. I need to get another one.

I don't know what a pawpaw is...but it was papaya. Is that the same thing?

pawpaw/papaya. Same thing basically.
Some make a distinction between the small(ish) pear-shaped, orange fleshed version and the long (and sometimes very heavy) yellow fleshed version. Same thing, different colour.

Here is one that nobody is going to guess without a lot of clues (tee-hee!). In fact I'm so confident that nobody will guess it, I'm posting a photo of the whole dish. Having said that, you lot are rather clever so somebody might just know. I made this not long ago but didn't post the recipe as I wasn't happy with the food styling in the photo - but that doesn't matter for this challenge. The 'garnish' is Aleppo pepper flakes and parsley. Hints will be provided in due course.
