This little gem is edible. It is rarely used as a food item and mostly limited to a certain culture. It has historical significance.

What is it?

<edited> to correct rare to rarely used as a food item. The flower itself is common over a wide geographic range.

Ding ding ding! It's a tortilla chip, which is the base for a nacho (a nacho generally has cheese and other stuff on it). I was hesitant because I was pretty sure a crisp is strictly from potatoes (our potato chips) and I googled it and pretty much got the same answer. But a corn chip (aka tortilla chip) would be the answer. Your turn!

This is why I call them "nachos".

Oh for certain, I get it! Doritos are very popular here. Typically tortilla chips here are nekked. Flavored and dressed ones are nachos. Some it might be hard to tell if they are plain or flavored from the color, though. We also have different colored plain ones: white, yellow, blue, and red.
