No, its not a cheffy thing. It may be less known in the US but I'd think that most keen cooks will at least know of it. In fact there are many non cooks in the UK who wouldn't know either, I suppose...

So that is another clue of sorts.
 

You beat karadekoolaid to it! Palak paneer. This recipe took me about 5 attempts to get right (not made 'authentically' I think). Something similar might make an appearance for the current challenge.
