This makes me smile in all the right ways:

A lot of people laugh at this as “Shatner being Shatner as only Shatner can,” but I legitimately love it, and I can’t believe it took me this long to post it, as I watch it probably every other month or so, and I’m always sharing it with people.
There’s so much to love in this, from the way he painfully drags out “high” in the opening few seconds, to the spoken comma he inserts about two-thirds through (“A rocket, man!”) to that glorious bow tie-undone-lounge act dancing near the end.

This was also parodied in Family Guy, with Stewie standing in for “The Shat,” but I won’t post that here. I don’t want to pull focus from the brilliance of the original.

There’s a whole story behind these (he did more than one dramatic reading of pop songs) that’s fascinating, but that’s not for here - just sit back and enjoy, and I know that at nearly five whole minutes, that pushes the attention limit for watching a video, but trust me, every second is worth it.

My favorite "Shatner-ized" song is Common People...

Don't know quite why but this doesn't do it for me at all. It doesn't help that I never heard of him before. Hmmm... :scratchhead:
