That's usually because the male of the species is about to do something incredibly stupid. It also equates to "whatever." Both preceed "I told you so" after a huge FUBAR situation.

That's usually because the male of the species is about to do something incredibly stupid. It also equates to "whatever." Both preceed "I told you so" after a huge FUBAR situation.

In my marriage, it was usually my wife who did stupid things after I suggested she not do it. I generally didn't say, "I told you so." I didn't have to, she knew she messed up, and I didn't see any reason to rub it in.

When I did something stupid, she didn't have to say anything, because I generally beat her too it, saying something like, "Well, that was stupid."
