I distinctly remember repairing a gate in the middle of nowhere some 20 years ago with one of those. I remember it because we took some drinks (coffee) with us and having finished them, we were working in silence when something ran over my feet and then knocked my mug over, ran into it and back out again. I glanced at my husband, he had stopped working as well and was watching the 3 weasels that were totally oblivious to us. I guess the area must have smelt of us because it was a gate with had to come through every time we left our house (hence repairing it because it needed to be kept shut all the time and the hinge was having issues).
That reminded me of the time Craig and I were diving with a couple of friends. I was buddies with 1 of our friends and entered the water first. When I hit bottom, I was literally swarmed with a bunch of newborn or just days old nurse sharks that swam circles around this odd, noisy, new thing in their world. When my buddy hit bottom, quite a few went to check him out as well. They swam around our feet for a few minutes then went back in the direction they came from.I distinctly remember repairing a gate in the middle of nowhere some 20 years ago with one of those. Sadly because we had gone to the gate to repair it, not watch for weasels, we didn't have a camera with us. But we do have great memories of those 5 minutes those 3 weasels played around our feet as those we didn't exist.
Thank you for reminding me.
