Did you know La Trappe is brewed in a Monastery in Limburg? (Part of the Netherlands). I went to their brewery with my husband during our honeymoon. I love their beer.

Yes, I do. I am a huge fan. But, that is a brew to enjoy by itself, and not with food. As you probably know, the Trappist monks brewed the beer and consumed it in lieu of food. If there were ever to be a monastic order for me to join one day, that would be it.

The concept exists here even if the shelves have been stripped bare, but they are called something slightly different.
