• I’ve added a casual chat room to CookingBites as a place for off-topic banter, light conversation, and short-lived chit-chat that doesn’t belong in forum threads. The chat room is informal and lightly-to-not moderated, with messages being temporary, so it’s ideal for friendly back-and-forth that would otherwise derail discussions. Site rules still apply, but there’s no reporting system or expectation of post-by-post moderation - if something becomes uncomfortable, the right response is to step away. If a topic has substance or lasting value, it still belongs in the forums; everything else can head to chat.

When I am in the kitchen I find something to watch on ROKU or Prime. Saturday I had Julie and Julia on while I worked in the kitchen. I have seen the movie before but enjoyed watching it again. The movie reminded me of the TV series The French Chef with Julia Child. I remember watching Julia with Mother, one of the very few times that she would actually sit and watch a TV show. My thinking - Hmmm. I wonder if I can get a DVD set of the series? Before checking Amazon I searched Prime. HAH! The series is on Prime and on PBS. That made me smile. When I work in the kitchen Julia is my companion.

A man went to the vet with his Rottweiler.
"What´s wrong with him?" asked the vet.
" He´s cross-eyed".
So the vet picked up the dog, examined his eyes, looked in his ears and had a look at his teeth.
" I´m going to have to put him down"
"WHAT?? Because he´s cross-eyed???"
" No; because he´s really heavy".

I was fascinated to watch an Earthship video. Eco housing, that provides solar energy, collects rain water, reuses water 4 x, grows own food, air vents and heat regulates naturally by a clever design.

Plus 0 utilities.

It is labor intensive to build, certainly there are start up costs...but it is still very fascinating.

And it looks very nice.
That made me smile.

LMAO - The Grand Tour Presents....
Stumbled on it on Prime. I am watching Season 4. I plan to watch previous seasons. Those three guys are NUTS.
More than just smiles.

Did you ever watch their previous show on BBC? Top Gear. They are like the 3-stooges in cars.
