We were standing at the traffic light, kid and I, and it was one of those brief crystal insight awareness moments, my goodness, she has grown.

I studied art in college, my dad studied engineering. The thing I leaned most from him is how NOT to fix cars, and things around the house. My grandfather could fix anything. Somehow, those genes skipped over my dad and went to me.
