I tried to catch an Air Lingus flight (Linate - Manchester - Dublin) once but they said I couldn't alight at Manchester. The aircraft only landed to pick up passengers.

Depending on when you're going in November, you could catch the Manchester Christmas Market, which is supposed to be very good indeed:
