This happened last night. We have a remote control for the TV, our standard lamp is controlled by a button but a remote controls the colours and brightness, our tree lights are battery but again controlled by remote.
When we switched the TV on and off, the tree lights flickered, used the tree remote to switch off the lights and the lamp changed colour, tvc used the remote for the lamp to change back and the tree lights changed to twinkling...it was like a trippy disco
