Just got back from the big Kroger. Had an Arby's Beef-N-Cheddar sandwich (no sides, water to drink) for lunch:

Dot's pretzels (butter-garlic twists)
Mayonnaise
Chili sauce (like spicy ketchup)
Mushroom gravy
3lbs ground beef (for us)
1lb ground beef (for dog)
5lbs chicken wings
Heavy cream
Milk
Half-and-half
Buttermilk
Peppermint ice cream
Canned cranberry sauce
Gruyere cheese
Cheddar cheese
Roasted garlic bread (1/2 loaf)
Lemons
Cherry tomatoes
Bell peppers

We've been trialling a digital shipping list... It means that once hubby leaves in the morning, with that paper list, I don't have to text him the things he didn't put on the list that the house needs. Usually the obvious stuff that he'll not come home with.

It wasn't that successful this week because he didn't reconfigure it to be in isle order for our chosen supermarket location. He left it in the click and collect order!

But it did have one major advantage. It could tell him if the item on the list was in stock. This is a problem with some of the items we get because they are often not in stock with them being specialist items (aka the free from ranges). It also means he hunts harder to find them if they are marked as in stock!

I'm also finding it quite useful because I can look per isle or even search on a brand name (again think of my free from ranges) and see what else they do...

But it was successful in a way because he came home with everything ticked off that list!

Not my ingredients/products bought or obtained today, but it’s related to my parents (84-85 yo) who are managing shopping on-line for their first time because of covid.
I’ve talked on the phone to my mom early and she was excited because they placed their first on-line order:
Tomato sauce
Aubergine
Parsley
Flour
Eggs
Parmigiano Reggiano
Potatoes
Sushi
Noodles

I’m still stunned (happily) that they use internet for shopping, but at “sushi and noodles” I am lost in words. Cool!
I’m a tad afraid when they will find out Amazon....

Today was my first pick up from the farm co-op:

I have no idea how I'm going to eat all that.

That is quite the BOX. Great deal for $50.

Have you considered swapping with another purchaser since you can't customize the contents? You might find some willing to do that.

Whenever I've picked up, it's been just me, I don't know who else buys from them. It really is just a family farm - when it's time to pick up, you just go round back of the house and they've got everything there, by one of the barns.

I'm trying to figure out what your chili sauce that is "like spicy ketchup" is. All the one I have are made with chilis only -- no tomatoes. :scratchhead:

I tried to read the package label on your chestnuts, fo see where they were from. They were once abundant here, but the American Chestnut trees were almost taken to extinction by a chestnut blight. I never see them in stores.

They sell them at Kroger, in the produce section, this time of year. I checked them last year, and I think they're from Italy.

Heinz Chili Sauce - first ingredient is...tomato purée. :)

Ahhh. I finally ordered all my Nuts. Almonds, Brazils, Cashews, Chestnuts, Hazelnuts/Filberts, Peanuts, Pecans and Walnuts. All about 16 Oz. each, except the Brazils, which I had to order 32 Oz. to get them.

I checked out the Heinz Chili Sauce, online, and by the ingredients, it is ketchup? No chilis listed, just "spices." Lot's of corn syrup. Interesting.
