The Bratwurst meat raises my curiosity, how come it is not a sausage? As far as I remember, bratwurst is a (german) sausage?
It's just the loose meat with the casing removed and shaped into a patty, so it can be eaten like a burger.

Here are some bratwursts from the same company:

BTW, that's a big national brand, available all over the place here. I live in an area justifiably proud of the local sausages, so I normally get something like that, but these were more convenient right now. The sausage I used to make the egg earlier was made about 30 minutes from me.

Daisy Light sour cream has been hard to get down here during Covid. I have no idea why.

CD
It comes and goes here. We'll have that for six months and no Breakstone's (which I prefer), and then it'll be all Breakstone's and no Daisy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Breakstone is a yankee brand. I don't think I have ever seen it in Texas.

Do you always write your lists in alphabetical order?

Do you always write your lists in alphabetical order?

It helps me to determine if I forgot something to list. I copy the list to my cell phone when I go grocery shopping and refer to it in the store.

Trying to arrange the list by store aisles doesn't work because different stores do things differently.

That's what I like about Kroger's app - their list groups everything by aisle automatically, based on the individual store you're in. Makes shopping a breeze.

I keep a master list in Notes on my phone, with like items grouped together, but not in store-order, if that makes sense.

jiggidy jog
I like the energy of the jiggidy jog part.👍
Have I ever used my phone for grocery lists? No. At least not yet.
Have I forgotten to buy things? Yes. Frequently.

Still use paper and a pencil (the ones that are sharpened). But only if an item is very likely to be forgotten. Most times I shop without a list.

The shops are very nearby, I walk not even a full minute to the one, 5-6 min to the other, 5 min to the third...

We don't freak out if we run out of an item. We adjust and get it the next time shopping.

Now that I think of it, I am very relaxed about shopping...

Having an app for shopping is a good idea actually!
Will research if any of the stores here have it...
I don't always shop at the same store though, and I buy only what I can carry, as most times I will walk with the items home.

When I go grocery shopping, I usually have a good long list of things I want - so the phone list comes in handy to reference in the store. We usually have our cell phones with us everywhere we go - so why not use it for whatever we find it useful for?

I copy my lists to the phone by simply emailing the list to myself and then, in the store, I reference the email.
