Do you not grow your own?We had some fresh tomatoes given yesterday from a mate's garden. Those liquidised are for more salsa tomorrow.

Some additional stuff purchased Wednesday.
Fresh tomatoes, couple of long peppers, fresh garlic, new potatoes and a kg of cod loin.

Same here. Don’t mind some texture in a stir fry but I still tend to add carrot early as hot raw carrot is wrong.

Went out mushroom hunting yesterday with my son. He loves to get out amongst the trees and was quite interested in learning to forage but he doesn’t eat mushrooms. 
Saffron milk/pine mushrooms.
And some blackberries. The shrooms got a little knocked around.
I panfried some in a hot dry pan then added, butter, garlic, salt, freshly cracked pepper & chilli flakes.
Trying some lacto fermenting according to a blog I love - Hunter, angler, gardener, cook.
I have had to hide our last jar in the laundry. My son LOVES it.

This is just wonderful. I'm not brave enough to trust my judgement regarding foraged mushrooms. I love the idea of the fermenting.

I only know 3 that I’m quite confident with. Field mushrooms I’ve gathered all my life with my Dad.
Saffron milk caps and Slippery Jacks are common locally and a friend taught me to identify them.

It’s going to be picnic weather very soon, so I’m gathering some items:
I’ll use a lot of that for a nice Italian-style picnic sandwich (I’ll make my own bread for that), and add some fruit and cheese, a little cheese on the side, some amaretti biscuits, maybe some chocolate, and some spiked coffee, and that’ll be that.
We’ve already had a couple of days where we could have gone on a picnic, but I didn’t have all the stuff.
