Bad experience with the produce this time. The lettuce they got me was marked down and goes past its best by date tomorrow. It's already turning brown.

I've cut into limes that are brown outside and the flesh has been absolutely fine. If the flesh looks fine then it will be OK. They honestly don't look as bad as some I get.

Water Melon @ 4 kuna a kg or £.50 and we bought a 1 kg of figs @ 14 kuna about £1.50 because picking them in this heat is a ball ache.

Years ago I had a lake house. There was a fig tree/bush in back. I didn't plant it, it was there when I got the house. Man, they were good.

I got my new fridge/freezer today. I had to empty the freezer. It is amazing the things I found that I didn't know I had. I wouldn't need to buy meat for weeks if I just ate what I have vacuum sealed and frozen.

Better than the one solitary lime I got off my plant. My new kaffir lime is much better.

The bulk area of the supermarket close to me. It has a selection of dry nuts, flours and starches. I got peanuts and from other areas of the supermarket eggs, oil, lactose free milk and a salad

We have a store called Sprout's here. They have a huge bulk food area. I can easily get carried away in there. They claim over 300 items, including coffee beans, in addition to the usual stuff.

Yesterday was shop for the week. Things I remember are chicken schnitzels, beef mince, sausages, lamb steaks and a whole stuffed chicken. Vegetables and bread.
