What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2025)?

Our eggs are not washed and last a long time
You can preserve them in salt if you want
I've thought of that and I think they easiest storage option is oiled and back in the carton. I don't know how deep you can stack eggs or how the shells might degrade, if they do, over time.

I don't think I have ever or will ever keep eggs for a year. But thanks for the info.
I don't think I will either but when they quit laying in November and don't start again until March I'll keep them. My grocery budget doesn't allow for eggs to be more than $3.50/dozen so Ill give it a whirl. Didn't have any eggs this past winter so why not? 😉
