What will you be watching on TV tonight (2025)?

I remember when HBO came out and we could sort of tune it in with the manual fine tune knob, kind of flickered but...
My brother had one of the first satellite dishes made, huge NASA-looking thing, with a giant remote that had a hundred little buttons on it and a TV guide the size of a NYC phone book. That’s where I got my love of European movies.

We watched “Here” - movie that follows the history of a single plot of land, going from the dinosaurs to the Ice Age, then to native America, then colonial America, finally concentrating on several time periods in the 20th & 21st centuries, centered on the front room of the house that was built on the plot of land in…1900, I think.

If that sounds a little convoluted to follow, so’s the film, which is non-linear, and sometimes even shows scenes from more than one time period simultaneously in separate panes.

Outside of that novelty, there are the usual humdrum happenings of life - success and failure, birth and death, comings and goings, etc.

It wasn’t great, it wasn’t awful. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, I know you already have Tubi, so…Plex?…Pluto?…Freevee?…Crackle?…
Have Plex, Pluto has issues so it's on and off, Freevee is good. Had an issue with Crackle so it's long gone. Remember this is all happening on a phone that sometimes drops to 2 Mbytes/second, thank you ATT, so there are performance degradations. I have to hot spot to get on the TV so that's 1 movie a night on "the big screen! 👏
