One of the world's most under-appreciated wines; dry, organic Vouvray from a great producer.

I bought this more than 15 years ago and it is still so, so very fresh. Nicely mature, a lovely golden colour. Very food versatile. Firstly drunk with roast chicken; then with chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce. Looking forward to the rest of the bottle. Shame it is the last one!

Soft Parade Rye Ale, by Shorts Brewery. The strawberry overtones belie the punch it packs: 7.5% alcohol! Enjoyed at HopCat brewery in Royal Oak, the same place I "didn't" complain about in this post.
 
The wife got the ok from her doc to start back up with the grown-up drinks, so we're having bourbon and cola for our cocktail hour.

That was the first alcoholic drink I ever had on a 'date'. I didn't have a clue what to order and the boyfriend suggested it - I think because a previous girlfriend use to drink it. Easy to drink too much as it slips down easily...
