Whatcha drinking (2023)?

Rare weekday drink for me - I needed a half-cup of sweet red wine for a strawberry recipe, and I don’t buy sweet reds in the little bottles, so I had to crack open this:

I don’t remember where I got it, but it was cheap, because I bought it for my SIL before I knew she didn’t like sweet reds.

It’s good, though. Almost fizzy.

Lambrusco was available at all the 24-hour sleazy grocery stores in SE London, and was dirt cheap. Italian wine
I'd really like to try some of the "real thing" today, just to see how the wine has evolved!
Same goes for Chilean wines. We used to have monthly discos back in the 70s, when I was working in London. the bosses would buy big plastic barrels of "Chilean" wine, and the wine was dire, really, really dire!
These days, I'd happily pick a bottle of Chilean wine from the shelves.

You haven't had a proper hangover until you've had a Thunderbird hangover.

How much did THAT set you back.

I have no idea - one of the most frustrating things about me, according to my wife, is that I don’t pay attention to what things cost.

Let me think…$18 burger (as Puggles noticed, not me), and $40 final bill including tip of $8 (her heartfelt tale of woe at the hands of diabolical Steeler fans touched me) tells me that beer cost…40 plus ambient temp minus windchill…carry the B…divide by the cosine of a square circle…$14 for a tall.

It was good, though. That’s all that matters.

If it's good, then I don't mind paying for quality.
