Does the tips of the immature courgettes blacken ?They start with a fruit but most of them don't mature.
Yeah, I planted it for the first time last year, two plants, and by the autumn, it was everywhere.Beautiful It's how I would grow them, my only comment is pull the mint before it spreads and the roots strangle everything.
Yes, then they fall off. I tried to hand pollinate some of them but still most of them fell off.Does the tips of the immature courgettes blacken ?
Calcium deficiency and, subsequently, blossom end rot, is caused by any disruption of water-uptake. Lack of water, even short-term, especially after heavy rainfall, will result in reduced calcium intake. High humidity, which causes a reduction in evapotranspiration and water uptake in plants, will have the same effect.Yes, then they fall off.

You are right, I have BER on my tomatoes too and we had heavy rains in July.Calcium deficiency and, subsequently, blossom end rot, is caused by any disruption of water-uptake. We love swede mashed with lots of butter and pepper.
I left school and home at 15 yrs and 6 months without any qualifications. Apart from my Driving Test, Patisserie Diploma I have only passed water. I have always learned from experiences. Is there no end to your knowledge @Burt Blank?
Loads of people I know saying the same. I think it seems to be a generally bad year in lots of places in the UK.I have an issue with courgettes this year, they are not pollinated and 80% of the fruits did not grow to maturity. I guess I had to hand pollinate them.
Since I'm using them for dinner, thought I'd take a pic of my shiso to show how well they are growing.
